After five years, I am almost ready to offer a new adaptation from the Sanskrit. of Kalidasa’s play Sakuntala, also known as Sakuntala and the Ring of Recollection and other names.  Widely regarded as the jewel of classical Indian theatre, it is rarely seen outside the subcontinent.  Funds will allow me to finally complete this labor of love and, more excitingly, to set in motion a team of players to launch an ongoing exchange of productions between continents.  Theatre, not war; trade art, not arms.
